An Insight into the Black Milk Sydney Sample Sale!

 So on the 14th of March, we made our way to our first Black Milk (BM) sample sale in Sydney.
Note: Post more longer & detailed than usual. 

First reaction: That line is frikken HUGE.. how long is this going to take? Why didn't I bring sunscreen & an umbrella? 2 hours later... after receiving a free tan from the sun, we enter the arena.

To simply describe the battle ground, there are about 6 massive piles of just Black Milk pieces on the floor, in front of these piles are signs with sizes; S, M, etc  and registers are at the back ready to receive that hard earned money. Having not been to a sample sale on this scale, we was not prepared, not at all. 

You got 20 minutes and thats it. There will be a crowd of people jumping in and out of the sea of nylon, throwing pieces everywhere and if you're unlucky, snatchers. 

Here are some quick tips on how to survive.

• Rule 1:
  Bring a backpack or a massive bag you can just shove everything into. If they didn't provide us with plastic bags during, I would've just lost everything, esp with BM clothes. The clothes just kept slipping from my arm, I even lost the only houndstooth crop I spotted in the XS & S piles. 
• Rule 2: 
  Check that you're at the right pile! (I didn't realise there were size signs until 5 minutes in)
  Go straight for the patterns you're looking for! Cause once you turn around, its gonna be gone.
• Rule 3: Don't be an A-hole okay. Just don't. Luckily the girls in my pile were all pretty nice and didn't snatch items off each other, however we can't say Erica had the experience in the M pile...
• Rule 4: Grab all you can! Whatever you see that looks nice even if you're unsure just dump it in your bag. You don't have time and you don't want to regret it so just do it. Decide later! (leave 5 minutes for this) 

• Rule 5: 
  Be sure, what you want and just get THAT.Yes its cheap but you still need to have some savings left... So move aside somewhere isolated and far far away from the clothes and dump all the clothes you've picked out onto the floor and CHOOSE. (easier said than done but yeah).
