Package No. Something. Denim Review.

Jeans, jeans, jeans

Recently I've been obsessing over them second-skin high waist denim. Yes, it works so well with crop tops & petites like me (insert 'too happy' emoji).

So on my search for a good pair of jeans, on AUD currency sites (that USD exchange rate is taking me nowhere) I come across SurfStitch's (SS) sale. Stocking all the denim brands I love, from Cheap Monday to Lee, it was too easy to click that add to cart. In the end I purchased a pair of A.Brand & another pair of DrDenim. I'm just going to put this out there, I have an ex-pair of Dr Denim Plenty which I also received from SurfStitch twice. Simply both times I received it, the stitching near the crotch of the jeans were always somewhat busted. Sigh... they fitted so damn good as well. I hope this isn't always the case for Dr Denim second skin denims cause I ordered the Solitaire from SS few days back. I'll put a review up once I've got my hands on the 2nd package, so keep a watch out for that!
Anyway here are the photos of the denims on!

A.Brand, S - 7.

A.Brand, loving the dip dye wash. S - 7.
Fits perfect.
Dr Denim Regina, S - XS, 24/30
Dr Denim Regina - XS, 24/30
Fits perfect.
Comments:
I range from a size 6-8 or XS/S depending on the brand, though the best fit for me is probably a 7, So hard to find them in between sizes...
I'll say the A.Brand pair fits perfect, doesn't run small or large, just perfect.
Dr Denim tends to run a tad bigger from my experiences. To note, I also heard Dr Denims have a tendency to expand after the first wash so go small I guess.
Those wondering the service of SurfStitch, based on all my 20+ orders with them. They've been on spot every time, great prices, service and awesome postage time.

That's all for today x

Le Campus Video

We headed down to The University of Sydney to create our on campus vid. I have to say, that day was hard work. The effort and the time taken to film, shoot and edit was more than we expected but we did it. It came out great and we couldn't be more proud. In the end it was worth it and it made us realise what we really wanted to do.
A big thank you to all the students that helped us.
Heres a few shots we got on the way.

We also captured small clips on some students' outfits, most students were more than happy to have their photo taken however there were still a few rejections here and there. To be honest, it was hard to choose who to shoot, of course there was our bias but even then the diversity of outfits was beyond me. Standing in the middle of eastern avenue, looking furiously around wasn't the best idea... It probably took us at least 15 minutes to find an outfit that was to our liking but even then none of them were on spot or perfect. Then I realised I'll never be able to find something that is perfect as everyone has their own style and way of dressing.
After all we've been through we definitely would still do it again but hopefully next time with more luck. We thought of some ideas on how to incorporate a page dedicated to uni style into our blog but thats something far in the future and in the early stages of planning so keep a look out.
Without further ado, here is the final version (could've been longer).
Enjoy!

An Insight into the Black Milk Sydney Sample Sale!

So on the 14th of March, we made our way to our first Black Milk (BM) sample sale in Sydney.
Note: Post more longer & detailed than usual.

First reaction: That line is frikken HUGE.. how long is this going to take? Why didn't I bring sunscreen & an umbrella? 2 hours later... after receiving a free tan from the sun, we enter the arena.
To simply describe the battle ground, there are about 6 massive piles of just Black Milk pieces on the floor, in front of these piles are signs with sizes; S, M, etc  and registers are at the back ready to receive that hard earned money. Having not been to a sample sale on this scale, we was not prepared, not at all.
You got 20 minutes and thats it. There will be a crowd of people jumping in and out of the sea of nylon, throwing pieces everywhere and if you're unlucky, snatchers.
Here are some quick tips on how to survive.

Break The Rules

I don't wanna go to school, I just wanna break the rules.

We kind of have a thing for shooting in little alley ways. They are just more quieter, even though there were quite a few people walking past this one.

Another outfit coming in the next few days... Get excited :)
